Facebook HTML 5 site is ahead of apple and google mobile browsers

Facebook has recently announced that its HTML 5 site has twice the amount of users compared to is iOS and Android users combined. This doesn’t create a sense of urgency for apple or google but Facebook is pushing through by creating a group called W3C community group, which google and apple haven’t join.  Facebook also released a tool called open source Ringmark mobile browser testing suite that shows how many of the core capabilities necessary to build HTML5 apps does a browser support.

As the popularity of platform and avenues to market your product increase, you will always find the overnight “social media experts” and the “SEO experts”, in truth things are happening so fast that I don’t think anyone is an expert but programs like these from Facebook make it a little easier not to get burned by shady “gurus” like the article from tech crunch explains.

Big changes are coming to Facebook pages. The new changes will essentially bring your business out of the dark into the social media world. In terms of Facebook, the fifth largest country in the world. Ready or not these changes will come by March 30th. You will have a chance to “pin” key events in your business history, milestones. The ability to engage directly with your audience (complaint, etc). And of course, ads.

KONY 2012

This video is going viral and it’s going viral quick.  As I type this thousands are doing the same, that’s how viral it is. 5 million hits in 2 days.  The purpose is to catch KONY of course, but there are so many more issues at play here that makes this a huge phenomenon.  It shows the power of social media, the internet and it gives you a glimpse of how our world already changed.
